by: ?How selective upon extracurriculars and grades are they at tech? I know it can be a really big deal or not matter but how important for the most part is it here? My grades weren’t the best and I was a pretty involved student at school but I’m afraid it won’t be enough. I’d also say I’m a pretty ideal girl in terms of personality, style and looks.. in a non arrogant way!

If your GPA isn't decent you will prob get cut, or be low on the list of at least half the houses even if you are really involved in other activities.
Houses want members who will not drop due to grades, and if you're seen as a grade risk you will be cut no matter how cute you are, you were a cheerleader, athlete etc
That being said, you can find girls you can connect with at any house as long as your not "arrogant"

Honestly, it's a really picky selection process. I went into rush with a 3.8 and was extremely involved in highschool and got cut from a lot of houses my first day. I was really thrown off guard by that because I really thought I was going to do well during recruitment, but a lot of the times the girls with good rec letters and connections will get into the houses they want instead of you. It also depends on the girls you are being compared to--so just be super friendly and sound really interested during rush and you'll hopefully do fine!! good luck :)
