Is it normal for a sorority to contact you about spring recruitment and then never contact you again?

It can happen if they further check & your grades aren't good or your social media has something questionable that kind of thing.
Or maybe not you,but they have a lot of in house referrals for few spaces.
I think most houses are either done with spring recruitment or are wrapping up now.
If you don't get an invite for spring definitely go though fall.
