spring rush

Is it really better to spring rush a house that wouldn’t be your top choice or risk formal fall rush and not get into a house at all?
My GPA is a 2.9 and I don’t really know people to get recommendation letters so is fall rush even worth a chance?

I know girls who rushed in the spring and then regretted not waiting, but I'm sure it also works out for a lot of girls also! I think it all depends on if you think you can get your GPA up a little before fall. Most of the houses sophomore cutoffs is a 3.0, so you're really close.

If you know people in a house you would like to be a member of & they're doing spring rush then do it!
If not, you could contact Panhellinic to let them know you're interested in spring recruitment & see if anyone contacts you.
If you're not happy with houses then wait til fall.
If you get a bid in spring from a house & dont accept that house won't bid you in fall.

And, keep an open mind.
So many girls go through recruitment thinking they want a certain house, go through recruitment & find that there is no way they want to be part of that house.
PS. Ranks are bs.
No one cares, and your attitude that somehow lower ranked houses are your fall back? you don't deserve a bid.

I just don’t want to end up rushing a certain house just to get in to a house and regret not possibly getting the house I truly want in fall. But then again I’m nervous that I’ll get dropped right off the bat from fall and then just be GDI
