how important are letters of rec for rush??

I'm going to be a freshman at tech next year and I come from a smaller town, so I don't know as many people at tech as girls who come from maybe Dallas area. I already have some women from my community who have eagerly asked to write me letters of rec or give advice but I just want to know how important letters of rec are for recritment??? I have a solid 3.7 gpa, I am pretty involved and am outgoing but I am still nervous.

very important. get one for each house if you can, but especially the ones you want most

A letter of rec can really, really help girls especiallllly in your case where you have a high GPA and good involvement. If the girls you're talking to are already aware of these things going into conversation, you will be that much more memorable!
