rushing as a junior
by: Lily.y
Hi everyone,
I feel bad for waiting until junior year to rush, but I felt way too nervous freshman and sophomore year. I wasn't going to rush this year and just give up, but I am now double majoring, so I'll be there an extra year and a half. I have rec letter for all of the middle and bottom tier sororities and I have a couple of friends in one as well. I am uberly involved on campus, love to volunteer amd have a 3.2. What is the likelyhood of getting into a middle or bottom tier sorority? I just want advice because Chi O and DG are my top choices and although I have rec letters, amazing dresses, and everything into place, the fact that they might cut me because of my classification scares me a little.
P.s. should I tell them about the double major situation? Will that sway them?

There is no real science behind these things. You have to decide if it's worth the possibility of not getting what you want and just go for it with some confidence. My advice to you is staying off these websites, because no one really knows what is going to happen and it sounds like you're nervous.

Sorry if you decided not to rush but as in life you are not entitled to anything.
Not entitled to a bid, not entitled to the house you think you deserve etc
Same will apply when you apply for a job, tryout for a part in a play, a place on cheer squad etc
If you're not willing to try, meet the great Greek houses here (all of them) and see how the chips fall cause you think you are entitled to just walk in and everyone just fawn all over you that's on you princess.
