dilema

by:

So my friend and I are both juniors and rushing. I have a 3.2 and want to be in DG or KD, and am staying another year because I am double majoring in finance and econ. How should I tell them? Will that boost my chances? My friend, also a junior, has a 2.6, and wants to be in Zeta or Pi Phi...I tried to tell her its a low chance, but she insists. Will she get it? Even with rec letters?

unfortunately she will more than likely be dropped first day by every sorority with a 2.6. She could be bff with every member of the chapter, stunning, amazing recs and conversation and will most likely still be dropped.
Most sororities don't take juniors and to my knowledge all of the sororities cut for grades so low, and the combination pretty much makes it impossible.

I think everyone might as well go through recruitment and put their best foot forward, but I would save the money and heartache if I were her.

Thanks for answering, do you thibk I have a chance getting in like the middle tier ones? I brought quite a few credits with me from high school, which is why I'm a junior, but I want to double major and will stay an extra year. Would that up my chances? Also I have rec letters for almost all the houses.

Why do sororities not take juniors? Am I just wasting my money by rushing?

Sorority recruitment does not classify you based on credit hours, but based on what year you graduated highschool. If you graduated in 2015 then you're a junior, if you graduated in 2016 then you're a sophomore.
