should i join my chapter here
by: TransferI didn't have such a great experience in my sorority at the other school I attended. I always felt left out and I was never really in a clique because I had no idea I had to be in a clique. My "sisters" at my other school were not very sisterly to me and they've made me cry a lot of times and have brought me down instead of raising me up. Is it a good idea to join the chapter here? Or will this most likely happen again?

I think you should reach out to your chapter at Tech and learn about their affiliation process! Most chapters are different, but will usually invite you to things so you can meet some members and decide if it will be a good fit for you, even if it isn't and you choose not to affiliate at least you will meet some new friends during the process. Give your best effort, I think greek life is a lot of what you make it!! Texas Tech has a lot of great sorority women of all different backgrounds and I'm sure you will meet some great friends from each sorority! I think for sure give it a shot even if you are skeptical!!!

I actually came from a small university. My freshman year I didn't have a car and I was never really able to get a ride. We didn't have a house but we had meetings on campus and I always walked while everyone else got rides. This time I'm taking my car to school. If something were to ever happen to my car where I can't even drive myself can I even rely on a "sister"? Will I ever be invited anywhere along with them since at my old school I was never invited and I just stayed in my room and didn't have other friends since people thought I was a "typical sorority girl" and they thought that I thought I was too good for them when I don't even think that.
