If you went through recruitment you got cut by a lot more then that.
You only get one bid.

If you got a bid, you were cut from 11. If you did not get a bid, you were cut from 12.

I don't understand the confusion. You get cut by some houses and you cut some houses, if enough houses want you back that is. I guess you'll never know if a house cuts you or not if you're choosing to cut them as well anyway. But you can get a pretty good idea of which houses cut you and what houses you've cut.

On another note, this seems like someone trying to have some weird superiority thing, thinking they didn't have any house cut them. -Person above saying that someone can go through recruitment without being cut.
Just because you don't get invited back from a house you ranked low doesn't mean you cut them. You ranked them & the feeling was probably mutual and they cut you.

This is a strange argument. Yes, PNM's aren't TECHNICALLY able to "cut", but if they are the whole package they are in complete control of who they will decide not to go back to.
To say that if you get a bid you have "been cut by 11 houses" is silly. You've maybe been cut by a few but have also chosen not to go back to a few, by ranking them low and having your top houses want you back.

PNM's, if you are a nice girl with good grades and a good rep you have much more control than this website makes it seem. It is a mutual selection process, much more up to you if you are very put together, much less up to you if you aren't.

I don't know if some houses like to feel as though they have more control than they actually do and just are that selective and their pledge class are full of girls they specially chosen. But that's just not real. Even the very top houses have to have the girls want them back.

PNM's rank the houses they saw that day. They can rank one house lower and feel that they "cut" the house. But how many girls who actually went through recruitment (and not just pretending on here) remember waking up to find a house on your next party list that you had ranked low and thought would be "cut". Reality check for the PNM's - you have very little input in the process. The power is with the houses. You are not picking them. They are picking you. Get your mind right now, because if you walk into the parties with an attitude, you may find yourself without a bid at the end of the process.

Maybe other schools let PNM's cut (doubtful) but not here. Or maybe they are just in high school /GDI trying to engage here acting like they know what they're talking about.
In any case, I agree with @ raiderly and would hate for any incoming PNM's to not have their head right going into recruitment.
Recruitment 's a lot of fun and the process should have you end up in the house you belong in.
Just thinking you're a "nice girl with good grades" etc will get you anywhere you want to be is setting yourself up for disappointment.
Over 1000 girls go through rush and each house takes about 70.
Plenty of "nice girls with good grades" are cut from every house.
Some really good girls get cut just because of #s and those cuts suck,
Agree with @raiderly, get your mind right now. Your attitude will get you cut quicker then how you look, your grades, etc
