what to talk about at lodges during rush

I was wondering how should we can give ourselves a greater chance to get/fit in with the guys, what's some stuff to talk about, i mean i smoke and i figured a lot of people do, I just don't know if i should be that straight up when talking, just stuff like that. I'll definitely introduce my name, where i'm from, major, sports and all that, but you never know, thanks.
