There's four sororities who have major grade cuts and are around the same. Pi phi , tri delt, kappa, and theta- there's not really any set number because a lot of other factors are considered. Grades are really important though and as long as you have a 3.4-3.5 you'll be fine as long as you have recs for those four. I do know some girls who got into pi phi and kappa with less than that though...so it really just depends on other factors like recs, extracurriculars, legacy status etc

No, Legacy status doesnt mean anything to these houses.
They have a rule to keep you 3 days then they will cut you so they can act like they tried to keep you when they are just going through the motions.
So, if passing on to your future daughter the benefit of legacy status is important to you put these two houses on the bottom of your rank list
Self important 19 & 20 something's who don't see value in legacies are voting in PNM's
And no I wasn't cut from these houses.
I was legacy of another house, who offered me a bid.
Talking to other girls about how they cut legacies (Yes, some of these girls a very chatty about how they cut etc) filled me in.

I am a member of one of these houses. I can assure you that both houses take legacy status seriously (esp. if a mom or sister who went to Tech). Do all legacies make it? No. There are enough legacies that go through rush to fill an entire pledge class. I can assure you that legacy status is helpful to PNMs, but I will say that it is not a "ticket in" by any means. A variety of factors go into these things including grades, reputation, involvement, connections, personality, etc.
Grade cut offs are secret and specific to each house, but Pi Phi and Kappa are 1 and 3 in grades respectively so the cut off for both is relatively high.

I think it would be interesting to list not only gpa's of houses but also what members majors are.
The houses that keep "flaunting" there GPA rank should disclose that.
If you are using it as a promotional tool you should have full disclosure.

No one from any house will post what their recruitment requirements are.
Everything you see here is pure speculation.
Just go through recruitment, keep an open mind and you will end up where you belong.
There are over a thousand girls that go through recruitment, and the most annoying are the ones who are just dead set on certain houses & act like the world is coming to an end if they don't get the house they think they want. You don't even know these girls yet!
If you're not picked the first time you go through rush don't think they will pick you up if you try again.
Trust the process.
ANY house at Tech is better then GDI.
