Get off this forum! There is nothing of value for you here.
Ha! We know you're still reading, so here's some helpful info. The rankings on this site are made by just a few girls, and some loser frat boys trying to be funny. This is a freshman hangout to make girls feel better about their chapter by bashing others. Upperclass sisters could care less. Without their letters, you would not be able to tell apart a group of random sorority ladies.
You already have houses in mind because you have a friend or relative in one, you like their colors or saw their Instagram or ranking on here. Try to have an open mind during recruitment. You WILL be dropped from a house you like during the week. It happens to EVERYONE. Go through the entire process. DO NOT DROP OUT!!!! Even if you open your envelope on bid day to find a house you didn't want, still go to the party. Give it a chance. You have until initiation to safely drop out. 99.9999999% of girls will end up loving their house and sisters. If you drop out because your didn't get a "top house",you know what that makes you...a GDI. Do you really want that? No, I don't think you do.
It's not about ranks, it's about making friends and connections that last a lifetime.

beautiful!
I truly hope PM's take this to heart. College is 4 years - you don't want a house that did not extend you an invitation- if you get a bid from a house you aren't sure about give them a chance- you will be surprised- trust me and just enjoy the ride! Pray for yourself as you prepare and are going through the process/rush and put your best foot forward. Keep your heart and mind open. Best of Luck future Red Raiders! We are so excited to meet you! Wreck'em TECH! Guns UP!

And please don't cry at your bid day party if you're disappointed (tears of joy are fine). Don't be negative to the group of ladies who CHOSE YOU! Go cry in your dorm later if you must, but please show a little respect to the sisters and pride in yourself. Not getting into your first choice of house is not the end of the world.

I agree with most of this however, PNM's need to be aware that if they do accept a bid & then drop they cannot go through rush until the next fall. No spring rush.
If the house you really want doesn't do spring rush, this is a non issue if you drop mid pledging. ( no way to know in advance which houses will do spring rush) If they do, you will have to wait till fall and even then you don't know for sure if you get a bid.
It's a gamble, but before you just accept a bid just to see how it goes you need to be completely informed.
