You want at least a 3.0 (unweighted) but some chapters will cut you if you have less than 3.3 or 3.5
Honestly, if you have a low GPA in high school, think about if you can even handle being in a sorority. It takes a lot of time with your meetings and events and philanthropy. Add that to the stress of freshman year and you could flunk your way out. If you do try and get cut, bring your grades up and try again in the spring or as a sophomore.

If you're a PMN and didn't make great grades in high school and really want a top tier sorority, completely focus on your freshman year grades and wait to rush as a sophomore! And it's such good motivation to do well in school freshman year when people typically get the lowest grades. If you have bad high school grades you will not rush well, if you rush as a sophomore year with a 4.0, it is a COMPLETELY different rush experience.
