Texas Tech University - TTU 3.8 Greek life is great here. Very selective during rush process so you need to try to know someone in the fraternity/sorority before you rush.

Texas Tech University - TTU 4.5 Greek life at Texas Tech University is experienced based off what you want out of it. If you want to party, volunteer, and make friends fast all within a short amount of time greek life is the way to go. The rush experience is definitely something to remember. I would recommend even if you end up dropping.

Texas Tech University - TTU 5.0 Greek Life must survive, It means everything to all fraternity's. It gives us a support system. When IFC ends up taking Greek away It will be a sad day. We sign up for brotherhood, no different than football practice or the military. You make your friends for life and actually go out and do stuff. Not just partying but philanthropy for the community. If Fraternity's all get kicked off I don't see a point of even being at Texas Tech, it would be the saddest day of my life!

Texas Tech University - TTU 3.3 So pretty much at tech here’s how it goes: Delt, Pike, Phi delt, sigep , SAE are good frats ( not in any order ) Every frat here loves to bash/trash talk each other so in the end just know these 5 are usually the ones that are top tier/ known around campus/Greek circle There’s no top house really because these 5 are better in whatever way someone wants to see it . Plus every frat here loves to claim that they are top house. The middle tier frats are probably Snu, ATO, KA, beta and Phi psi ( not completely bad frats but just not close to being a top house) Bottom of the barrel frats are irrelevant, no need to worry about them Greek life at tech is how you get plugged into social life out in Lubbock, rather die than be a geed

Texas Tech University - TTU 4.5 Texas Tech has always been one of the premier Greek schools in Texas right up there as a part of the big 3 with SMU and UT. The premier big frats are large, high membership, huge pledge classes, and the social scene is some of the best in the country. For tech Greek the weekend starts on Thursday and it’s no brakes. Surprisingly good culture, party scene is fairly safe compared to other Greek oriented schools of the same size. And now to the negatives, Greek has progressively gotten smaller and smaller over the years as more and more hazing incidents and more regulations start to pile up. The active Greek community is still probably around 30-40% of the entire student population, but classes get smaller and smaller every year. Recruitment is difficult, the big rush for Tech is fall rush, and it is about a full 24/7 week long process and can be extremely selective. Even more so for Sororities. Overall I’d say when I rushed in 2014 it was the best decision I ever made in college.

Texas Tech University - TTU 1.3 I guess it's great if you're a typical dudebro or skinny white girl. They only take their own (even if they pretend not to). No diversity and looks are prioritized above everything else.

Texas Tech University - TTU 5.0 Pi Beta Phi has to be the most beautiful, classy and intelligent girls on campus. They get all the hoes from the frats and they've been top in grades for so long.
