Beta Theta Pi - ΒΘΠ Fraternity at Texas Tech University - TTU 5.0 Great chapter, only reason they got shut down is because the national chapter shuts down their best chapters. Back on campus Fall 2015.

Actually we don't shut down "the best" chapters, champ. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State hold the two strongest chapters nationally. Tech was shut down my brother's sophmore year in chapter, after the pledges stole lumber and a number of other things. Getting caught in the act by the boys in blue doesn't exactly scream "best".

Since you're a newbie you'll be excused for saying something untrue. Beta does not shut down its best chapters unless they did something unbecoming a Beta - which your chapter did. The chapter at TTech was big and popular before it got shut down. You'll soon learn that Beta has dozens of strong and good chapters nationally. Unlike some frats, we don't care about being the biggest frat so we actually shut down weak chapters which very seldom happens.

Without question OU and OSU are some of Beta's strongest chapters but let's not forget that we have about 3-4 dozen other chapters that are just as strong. We have around 40 out of 134 chapters/colonies that have 90+ members.

Beta Theta Pi - ΒΘΠ Fraternity at Texas Tech University - TTU 5.0 I am a current freshman interested in joining Beta house in the fall. I was actually wondering how if i could do an unofficial rush or something similar because i know they will need leadership when they spring back up.
