Used to be The Fraternity to join. Now it's all about parties. Delt Sig academics are the lowest on campus. Many of them do not graduate.

The blonde Barbie sorority. Hard to stay active for long because of all their financial and national requirements, girls "go alum" all the time. Great GPA. They win greek week every year and their recruitment is beautiful because it is mandated. Sisterhood lacks.

This is really the best sorority on UMD's campus. The actions of a couple sisters do not define this sisterhood. Women join DPhiE and stay until they graduate. Their sisterhood is real and strong. They're involved in a lot of other orgs. They have active alumni. Nationally, this chapter is one of the best in DPhiE.

As a Panhel sister on campus I can say that most of the girls in this chapter are great girls. Phi Mu is known as one of the oldest sorority's in the country. This chapter is very close and most of the girls are classy and fun to be around. The new girls are very friendly and enjoy talking to all greek students! I believe that both Phi Mu and Phi Sigs are great chapters to join at UMD! Delta Phi Epsilon is also great but they can be a bit malicious at times. Just watch your back.

DPHiE has gone SO downhill the past few years. A few members have acted maliciously towards members of other Panhellenic sororities, which has really left a bad taste in the Panhellenic community's mouths. It felt for a while like all they cared about was being the "best" sorority on campus, but that definitely made them drop the ball in a number of areas.

These girls are a great time to be around. They're pretty, smart and overall just nice, down-to-earth girls.

the phi sigs seemed to blow everyone out of the water this year...their recruitment rooms were gorgeous and they came in 2nd for Greek Week (DPhiE didn't stand a chance against them). They also have a really great relationship with Phi mu and the fraternities on campus (all the fraternities really enjoy how fun of mixers they have with Phi sig).

Phi Mu has been on top for years...every year their recruitment kicks butt, they sweep categories at Greek Awards, and win Greek Week (6th year in a row?? it's only their name on the trophy). It's definitely a hard chapter to get into, but they seem to love girls with cool quirks and ambition.
