sae/cal phi name??
by: greekHi! This is a kind of random question, but does anyone know why SAE is so commonly called Cal Phi? What's the story behind that and do any schools outside of Santa Clara have a Cal Phi?

Cal Phi is considered an underground society that has NO recognition from either the University and SAE National. Basically they are IRRELEVANT to our Greek Community. Just a party/ drinking club. If you want to experience real Greek Life, I would suggest to look into the Fraternities that are recognized and a active on campus.

Keep in mind that every fraternity and sorority receive NO recognition from the university. So "active on campus" is a bit of a stretch.
