Hopefully this delay in rush will allow the frats to make some much needed changes to their rush system! The only reason the extremely broken system of past years worked (but only barely, it still screwed a lot of people over) was because freshmen actually had the chance to meet the different frats in the fall. I don’t see suicide rushing working at all this year when the freshmen have had almost no exposure to the different fraternities. If you’re a frat guy defending the “first prefs only” system, it’s almost certainly for selfish reasons.
