All this stuff that's been posted about this fraternity is completely ridiculous, it's almost certainly salty kids who didn't get a bid. I'm not a TKE myself, and am not saying they're a top house or anything, but they're a decent frat with cool, down to earth guys and fun parties. No one should pay attention to anything posted on this website, it's all dumb. Go out and meet the guys in every house if you''re interested in rushing and wanna find the best fit for you.

Nice/fun guys but their parties aren’t very good. They don’t seem as popular so they struggle to pull a big enough crowd to have lit parties. Nevertheless they seem to have good brotherhood and be a fun frat overall.

Self ranks out of control on this page. I dont want to get into this “tier” discussion because it’s stupid but how exactly are they trying to pass themselves off as a good frat? Completely random mix of guys with only one thing in common, they’re all huge stoners.

They only have one house, but otr is one of the best party houses at scu. Fun parties, attractive and diverse group of guys (liked by both sorority girls and gdis), solid pledge class this year, great brotherhood. Definitely top of the middle along with cal phi.

Really solid guys. If say if your looking for a frat with a decent party life but without the extreme intensity of a frat like pike, then tke is your best bet.

TKE pledging is one of the more difficult ones. A bunch of pledges dropped because it was too intense.

TKE made all of their pledges shave their hair last year. Other than cal phi I don’t think anyone’s really as obvious about there pledging

Idk about that, one of the frats makes all their pledges do costumes, I see it on campus all the time

IDK if the op was referring to the pledging in particular or just the overall vibe, which tke's is more laid bass than pike's. Also, the visibility of the hazing doesn't necessarily make it more or less intense for the pledge, it just makes it more visible to outsiders. I doubt most pledges who decide to drop do it because they had to wear a costume or shave their head. Yeah, tke hazes a good amount and I know people who dropped, but I also know pledges in pike (they're the ones with the costumes btw) who dropped a class because they didn't think they could manage 4 classes and pike pledging.

care way too much about putting other fraternities down and bring it up wayy too much on a regular basis, at least the guys I know in tke.. They're pretty involved on campus but lacking philanthropy and their party scene has gone way down hill. I like hanging with my tke friends but cant stand their mixers at least last year

Might not be the most popular fraternity at scu but their brotherhood is some of the strongest out of all the houses here. You can easily tell that they all get along really well and will have each others backs when support is needed. Not a top house as of right now, but if they were to get some more houses I'd say they definitely have the potential to become a big name here.
