They think they have some moral high ground since they don’t have their pledges, but they really don’t (especially since there have been MULTIPLE reports of them not letting in poc to their parties only to let in a white group in moments later! Popular with freshmen but that's it. Pike, Cal Phi, and I'd even say Sig Chi, are seen as more desirable frats by sophomore girls and up. Their non-freshmen groupies are mainly the DG/Aphi girls who only got a bid because their parents are rich, are more conceited than they are pretty, and were usually turned down by the other frats.

The post below is so insanely untrue. There are a lot of reasons someone can’t get into a party, especially now, (risk, # already there, they were rude at the door). I can assure you that not a single person was turned away because of the color of their skin. Absolutely wrong to accuse a fraternity of such a thing. I do not associate with sigma chi but it annoys me when I see these baseless accusations meant to drag an otherwise well respected organization through the mud.

Before actually coming to Santa Clara I would read the Greekrank reviews in order to get a sense of the party scene. Over time I started to realize which fraternities are top and which are bottom. The guys in Sigma Pi are the kindest, most genuine, fun guys I have ever met (all of my friends would agree for the most part). The negative Greekrank reviews are mostly completely inaccurate so that's why I have decided to write my own to show a more holistic view of the fraternity. Their parties are always fun, the guys will always walk you home if needed (and without trying anything), and they are all very hard workers (there is a diversity of majors). All in all, I would say Sigma Pi ranks as the top fraternity with Pike and Sigma Chi following closely behind. Most of the fraternities at SCU are great!
