Delta Kappa Epsilon - ΔΚΕ Fraternity at University of Alberta - UA 4.7 Dekes are great guys. Other frats like to rank them low on here, because they weren't able to get a bid and are sore losers. These guys don't care about superficial things, just want to have a good time. Little known secret, at least half the guys are cuffed, and are all seriously smart. They don't actually enjoy their massive parties, but make serious bank off of them. Their predrinks and small parties that are invite only are where its at. They are the only frat many girls always feel safe at, because they WILL kick out creeps and will make sure you get home okay. Almost exclusively are in engg, sciences, or business, and their alum are extremely successful. The fact that they are suspended doesn't stop sorority girls from coming around either despite panhell, because they are just that great of guys.

Delta Kappa Epsilon - ΔΚΕ Fraternity at University of Alberta - UA 1.7 If you're looking for facts the biggest red flag is that they are no longer recognized by the UofA as a student organization due to a history of infractions. They offer bids to guys who have already signed bids with other Fraternities, and their new members are forced to wear pins at all times untill they're initiated. In general they're a pretty sleasy group of guys with a very small handful that hold everyone else up.

Delta Kappa Epsilon - ΔΚΕ Fraternity at University of Alberta - UA 4.5 These guys take brotherhood to a whole new level, constantly extending their friendship, loyalty, and support towards all those who they consider their friends. They're the kind of guys who you can be completely yourself around and they will not only accept you but also encourage you to be yourself with no judgment. I always trust that these guys will have my back and my friends and I feel extremely safe and cared for any time we go out to the bar with them. Many of these boys have been there for me and other girls when we've cried and done their best to make us laugh or feel better in any way they can. They may be party animals (which is definitely not a bad thing), but they have some of the biggest hearts and show that in their friendships, relationships, and consistent philanthropic pursuits. The negative stereotypes are frankly outdated and, especially with so many new guys to consider, undeserved.

After hanging out with them for a couple semesters it became very clear that there is no closer group of people in the frat system. Outwardly they are an insane group of hard partying, womanizing animals who are almost certainly insane. However, their most closely guarded frat secret is that most all of these guys are in the top of their chosen academic program, organized to an almost pathologically "anal" level, and believe it or not about half of them are in long term relationships. They may have dirty mouths but their actions are honestly the very opposite. I've been treated badly by the "good guys" on campus, and these "bad guys" have been nothing but great to me and my sister. Ya, I let my sister get to know these guys too.
