This chapter may seem nice on the outside, but there are many issues once you get in. Majority of the leaders and “faces” of the chapter are actually some of the most malicious, fake people I’ve ever met. The rules are incredibly strict which doesn’t allow for the “growth” that they seem to advertise so widely. If you’re looking for a popularity club this may be for you, but if you’re looking for a wholesome experience you’re better off just finding good friends elsewhere.

this used to be a really good chapter, but it’s really fallen down from the looks in. I’ve been a GDI for a few years at the UofA and I’ve known quite a few DG’s over the years, they are just generally catty, quite pretentious, and talk about others and their own sisters behind people’s backs. No I’m not someone who didn’t get a bid, or a boy who got rejected as some other comments have mentioned, just an observer. Generally they are all about men, usually the Pikes, and there’s always lots of drama with this chapter. Their members even talk smack about their own internal conflicts. It’s honestly just kind of sad to see, and I’m glad I never joined a panhelic sorority when I was thinking about it as a first year. I hope it gets better and these ladies learn how to treat eachother and others a little nicer.

I’m a gdi who has been around these girls plenty. I’m not someone who didn’t get a bid or a guy that got rejected. These girls are just not classy. Their goal is to make you feel like you’re less than them. They think they are better than everyone. It is actually sad. They drop friends so fast and have no problem sneaking behind other girls back and breaking girl code.

That moment when u know most of the negative comments on here for DG are all made by girls bitter about not getting a bid here, boys who got rejected by them or girls that dropped the sorority for poor academics and catty behaviour.

As much as I love their chapter, Theta's reputation has gone down hill the past couple years. The strictness of the advisors is terrible. I'm friends with many of the girls and lots of them don't agree with how their advisors handle situations. It's their way or you get kicked out. They've had quite a poor recruitment the past few years but many of the new girls are sweet and down to earth. Here's to hoping they survive with their advisors.

These girls can be intimidating at first but they are genuinely good and kind people. They definitely have a "work hard play hard" mentality and always support other greeks whether it's coming out to parties or philanthropy events. Their chapter is one of the most diverse on campus with lots of beautiful girls, strong personalities, and a strong sisterhood so getting a bid from DG is no easy feat. It's a shame they are still being judged by other Panhellenic women for mistakes made years ago by women that are no longer even in chapter. DG's are friends with everyone so it's no wonder they're the best sorority and the 'most popular' amongst greeks on campus.

Theta is kind of a mixed bag. There are the super sweet women who are really fantastic to be around... but then there's also a lot of party girls who can be kinda mean in my opinion (mean to other sorority women and women on campus who don't have enough 'status'). As a chapter they seem to get along quite well but I wouldn't say that everyone is friends with each other. I think that many of the women will find a few long lasting and loving friendships in Theta, however I feel like many of them will not be talking to the other chapter members after they grad out. Don't get me wrong I really love the friendships I hold with my Theta friends, but the other women in the sorority can make me feel a little uneasy. It's really hard to say Theta is one thing or another, and even harder to rate due to the mixture of personalities. Just my thoughts.
