Used to be too sorority and it’s been downhill the last five years. A scandal at their formal really cemented this. Save for a few lovely girls, they’re pretty odd and boring. Don’t expect to see them at any events in the greek community, because they are the one sorority that never participates and are quite isolated. Let’s just hope they don’t go bankrupt.

A bunch of girls who look average from a far, but are extremely weird once you meet them. There’s a few exceptions, but this really is the house that gets sloppy seconds of recruitment, only one step above pi phi. Inept at social media but they still manage to only post the pretty girls in their chapter. Their squirrel mascot really is accurate because they’re all nutty.

to the girls doing recruitment looking here. know that the comments who say they’re gdis are actually bitter girls who were part of greek life and dropped. could name them but this is anon anyways. dg has drastically changed in the past year and has come past the catty ness and drama. they’re the most involved sorority on campus and always share with other chapters. if you’re looking for best friend material they’re in dg.

The old president was the worst. when I met with her for coffee I felt totally awful about joining a sorority after and went back home to cry. She was stuck and made me feel like I would never belong. I hope she is never in leadership anywhere ever again. She doesn't have what it takes and she will hurt anyone to get what she wants. Not being in Greek life is so much better for me than joining a sorority would have been.

DU is a really great house at the UofA and to my knowledge, the most established fraternity at the UofA in terms of history and alumni success. They have a big presence across campus in student government and in faculty leadership. From the DUs I've met, I've gathered that they are good-hearted, bright, love to have a good time, and very diverse. In terms of alumni, the DUs at UofA are definitely leading the campus pack with a lot of prominent alumni right from their Edmonton chapter. In the past few years I know they had 1 or 2 guys enter med school and another two enter law school, so props to them. They also have the largest Greek house on campus by far with like 18ish bedrooms which is pretty cool. Overall, the DUs would be a really good fit for someone who's looking for the full "college frat" experience and also wants to chase success after university.

Ever since the last seniors graduated, the reputation of this chapter has plummeted. Definitely won’t be getting better soon.

Never met a DG that I didn't like. They are definitely the most popular girls in the greek community and there's no cap about that. Hot, sweet, and friendly girls. The new member class is kind of mellow though.
