There have been a lot of really good changed in AGD it would seem! I have seen a lot of these ladies in a number of different philanthropy events and they have overall been really involved. It seems like some of their problematic older members have graduated and they are doing very well now. Good job.

If you are thinking about going Greek, you should do it. Greek life offers an amazing community for more than just partying. From sports, music, hiking, philanthropy and social events. If you are looking for more from your University experience you should think about joining.

No matter what, theta seems to find themselves in some kind of scandal. No matter what happened, they need to remove the member in question from chapter. These are grown women, not kids. We've seen this happen before where they claim to make changes and then don't. Stop coddling your members and do what's right.

The recent situation as not any sort of message from theta, nor any form of racial message. The member who blocked the woman affected did so based on personal problems between her and the woman who was blocked. Theta does not agree with or condone these actions, as they were petty; and do not represent our values. Instagram access has been taken away, and login information changed to prevent previous members from logging in again. The members of theta don’t agree with the situation, and while it can’t be completely undone, are working to make more changes, including the installation of a new officer position, and bilaw changes so far. This is a time for ALL chapters to reflect. Not for members of other chapters to continue to say theta’s said things they didn’t (claiming they got texts from theta’s they had never spoken to calling them slurs), or pin things on other chapters.

Member of another Panhellenic sorority here! I think the posts here always start around recruitment time because that’s when we are all advertising the most! And most of the posts are made by people who are not in the sororities themselves. They leave mean comments here, and watch the drama unfold.

yet again theta finds itself in hot water. this isn’t their first scandal, let alone first racism scandal. honestly it’s not even surprising at this point. there is a lot of talk but no real action being taken. do better.

Ex theta here... crazy to see what’s going on with the racism right now. I am not surprised though. My experience does not compare to what is going on to the other ex member right now, but mine was also very unpleasant.

Everyone especially the 2 presidents have been some of the nicest/respectable people I’ve seen in recent years. Great people among its chapter. The only way I could describe the chapter is that. If your car needed a boost, a zeta psi member would be the first there to help boost your car

The stuff that is being posted on here is by people who have no actual interest in understanding what is happening They see something and immediately go to the internet to spread anonymous hate. All situations are being dealt with internally. The blocking of a previous woman of colour was uncalled for and due to an issue with the member running the Instagram and was not a reflection of theta's actions nor in my opinion was it a matter of race. From my understanding, the member/ex-member had a falling out that was not related to the issues brought up in the fall and therefore had no connection as far as I am aware. This is not to say I agree with the blocking, I would just like people to understand that no situation is black or white. Our member development committee met for 3-4 hours for their last two meetings. So please do not perceive that this is being taken lightly or that an investigation is not being done. I suggest that if you want to see the actions being taken as of right now, you look at the comments of the Black History Month post. I think it is shameful to speak on an issue hatefully when you have no legitimate understanding of what is happening. You may ask to hear of actions that are happening but also understand that in situations such as these it is not best to rush. Would you prefer it done with care and thought or quickly to appease the masses.
