cost of sororitys

I've never seen anyone post about the price of being involved in Greek life. I'm from the south and my friends from high school who stayed there pay a ridiculous amount of money. I kinda wanna rush but I also don't wanna have to sacrifice food in order to afford to do so. How much do you ladies pay?

The Panhellenic website has a guidebook with info on chapter dues, but most are around 500/600 a semester. It's more during your first semester, but nothing like the $5000 a semester I've seen as some schools

I'm from the south as well, and sororities here are A LOT cheaper! usually between 500 and 700 a semester, versus 2000 to 4000 at most big south schools
