Delta Gamma Fraternity Closes Beta Rho Chapter
It is with
regret that
the Delta Gamma Fraternity Council has voted to suspend the charter of
Beta Rho chapter at George Washington University, effective immediately.
In recent months, Beta Rho members have been involved in activities that do not alig
n with the
values and standards of Delta Gamma. After high levels of intervention, the decision was made
to suspend the charter.
“The decision to close any chapter does not come easily. In fact, it is the hardest decision our
Council must make,

ia Rudge Skoog, Delta Gamma Fraternity President. “However,
when faced with the very real situation at our Beta Rho chapter, we had no choice but to act

uickly and decisively. The high

sk culture, multiple violations and
lack of adherence to our
Constit
ution and our policies

along with dangerous and poor decision making
,
led us to this
point.”
The chapter was officially closed September 30, 2015.
Delta Gamma Fraternity is thankful for the partnership we have shared with George Washington
University fo
r the past 71 years. It is our sincere hope to return to this campus when conditions
are more conducive for the success of a Delta Gamma collegiate chapter. Should an
opportunity for extension come available, Delta Gamma requests that the utmost considerat
