another annoying senior post

I've read a few pages back and have surprisingly seen a few other seniors interested in rushing. However, there has been no real opinion on if it's ok to rush as a senior.

Basically, last year I transferred to GW from Pitzer college (small college in California with 0 greek life).

I didn't even know about greek life so I didnt rush last year. But, over the course of last year I saw how fun it seems to be involved, plus I haven't made many friends here so far.

How "odd" would I look to rush as a senior? I was told fraternities would be more understanding since I'm a transfer.

I'm mainly looking into SAE (apparently they have no pledging?), Sigma Nu, and maybe PSK(I know they have an iffy rep but I'll see how they are at rush if I go).

Opinions on this? I really don't want to look like a dummy being a senior...

idk if these frats would even take you tbh..whatever you do don't go PSK though unless you want everyone at gw to avoid you like the plague

Only one of those worth joining is SNu and theyre probably big enough at this point they don't want seniors. But you might as well try.

you'll know where you fit it.

That being said, its hard to reap the benefits of a fraternity in just one year. I barely got 2.5 years of EKT before they pulled the plug; the best part is seeing the 'younger guys' you badgered to pledge grow into confident upperclassmen.

A bottom tier will probably take you. beta takes anyone so maybe look there but I like sigma nu guys better.
