how important are rec letters

I'm a freshman and definitely rushing this fall. I've gotten a few letters of rec already and I know they're not crucial to the rush process at GW, but really how much do they weigh when deciding whether a girl gets a bid or not?

literally don't do anything at all, people usually don't even know what to do with them/throw them away
