senior rushing
by: IdkbroI was wondering how weird it would be to rush a fraternity as a senior (like Signu, SAE, or PSK). I have reasons for not rushing before, would like to meet a new group of people, will be in DC longer than just this year, and it seems to have some networking benefits. Thoughts?

I'm an eboard member (recruitment chair actually) at one of the three tou mentioned. A lot of kids come to us, just looking for national connections or 'because I'll get a bid.'
We drop them.
Is that why we're small? Maybe. By if you are rushing just for connections, I don't want to be your brother. You will get dropped like a Goddamn rock. I don't care what grade guys are; we'll take any good guy. But you want to rush for the wrong reasons.

there's no point if you're going to be in and out after not even one full semester. If you rush as a second semester senior frats realize its just for the alumni connections/support not the brotherhood so its unlikely you will get a bid
