most genuine sorority?
by: hmmI'm not asking about tiers or ranking or popularity or anything. Which sorority has the best sisterhood? Which girls genuinely like each other the most, and will probably stay friends the longest?

I agree with this. Phi Sigs go through a lot of crap and it bonds them. The mid tiers tend to be pretty tight too.

i heard that phi sigs are actually not that nice and judge everyone including their own sisters...
but i'm sure there's exceptions just like every sorority has exceptions

I just want to revise what 123 said a little bit.
Phi Sig's go through a lot of crap because they are SEEN AS unattractive and weird. If you actually spent any time with them, you would realize that, while there is definitely a small handful who are like that, it certainly doesn't describe most of their chapter.
One of my roommates ended up in their fall pledge class and I hardcore judged her for a while. But we've gotten really close this year and I've hung out with the Phi Sigs, and I've been overwhelmingly and pleasantly surprised.

It's hard commenting on a sisterhood when you aren't apart of that sorority.. but from what I've been hearing there's a ton of drama with SK's current PC. KKG also doesn't seem to have that great of a sisterhood either

DG's seniors literally hate their juniors and didn't even want half of them in the chapter.

I also heard that SK sisters all hate/talk badly about one another behind each other's backs? Not sure if it's true but I've heard from people who are good friends with SKs

No they really don't, even their own chapter talks about how they don't. Hopefully they'll fix it soon

Top Tiers will never be genuine. They are too focused on looks. That's the truth at any school. In fact, the lower you go, the stronger the sisterhood. This is actually why I joined a "mid tier" chapter. It's a good mix of girls caring about looks and reputation and parties, but also caring about each other. I felt very at home and like these girls would be my bridesmaids someday. I actually went to DG's pref night thinking about joining them, but ultimately saw that they cared more about me because I'm attractive and not for who I am or what I'm about. SK, Chi O, ADPi, and KD are the ones to join if you want a mix of caring about reputation + true friendship.

This isn't necessarily true... And obviously you don't know the sisterhoods in other chapters, so don't judge whether it be bottom tier, mid tier, or top tier

no one here can judge sisterhood looking into sororities from the outside, because you havent seen each sorority's sisterhood for yourself. Theres no possibly way that 150-200 girls can all love each other, and if a sorority says that thats the case for them, thats when you know theyre fake and putting on a show to try to one-up other sororities. Honestly, some top tier sororities do have a small portion of girls who joined because they read something like this website before recruitment and wanted to be "popular", and that fraction of girls can damage sisterhood. BUT the vast majority joined because they genuinely liked the girls they talked to and clicked with them. just because a sorority has a lot of "pretty" girls in it doesnt mean that they dont genuinely like each other. newsflash--pretty people have usually been friends with other pretty people their whole life, it's just the way it goes. they click with other pretty people because they can relate to people that are similar to them. thats why entire sororities of pretty girls exist--because sororities are just groups of girls who are similar to each other in some way. It dosen't make their sisterhood any more superficial or any less genuine. i also think sisterhood varies with each pledge class depending on how rigorous their pledge process is. when new members dont have to do anything, the sisterhood within that pledge class suffers. also--the bigger the PC, the worse the sisterhood. it has nothing to do with looks

I don't think anyone can rightfully judge a sisterhood unless they are apart of it. With that being said, I would argue that KKG has a crappy sisterhood because most girls join for social reasons (this is evident in the fact that an overwhelming number dropped once they were put on probation and couldn't have social events through the school)

I agree completely I think kappa is a conglomerate of nasty, nasty girls who don't care much about anything except partying

There are a select few girls who joined for social reasons but those are the girls who got sent to standards constantly and put us on probation in the first place. Those girls are the ones that left because they were asked by standards to leave when we got put on probation. Kappa has a really strong sisterhood either way
