bad pcs
by: CuriousI'm curious as to what qualifies as a bad PC? Is it just looks ? Does it include philanthropy participation and such..

In that case its looks and how well the frats like them mostly. Doing well at philanthropy helps but its more about being fun to hang out with than winning.

1. Looks - Yes, they matter the most unfortunately because on bid day people only have this to go by. How bid day goes (how hot your pics are) can set the tone for the rest of the year. But this is not the end-all be-all.
2. Popularity - This comes later. When people get to know the pledge classes personally, it becomes clear that some of them are very cool girls, regardless of what they look like. These girls get invited to parties and everyone wants to be their friend/they get to date guys in good chapters. Usually, this is what keeps mid tiers afloat. It has helped chapters like Chi O and KD move up, and hurt chapters like ADPi (annoying) and Pi Phi (boring).
3. Philanthropy and competitiveness - Yeah, this helps but is the least important of the 3. Fraternities like chapters that go hard for their philanthropies. They will be more likely to say positive things about your chapter to others. They will also be more likely to go hard for that sorority.

So a bad PC
1. Not good looking.
2. When people hang out with them, they are boring or have bad personalities.
3. They don't give a damn about greek life activities.
Top chapters have 1. APhi has all 3 and this is what makes them top of the top.
Mid chapters have 2 and 3.
Bottom chapters have 3 or none.
