drop recruitment or not?
by: gwI was dropped by all the Chapters I wanted today which I wasnt expecting. Which ones they are irrelevant. I don't care about "tiers" or which is most "popular" but I thought I rocked it. All of the Chapters I visited I just wasnt feeling at all (not to say they arent great, just not for me). Should I drop Recruitment all together and go out again next year or hope for Spring rush? I was shocked by getting cut from a certain House because it wasnt looked at as the "top" one but I was. Its just upsetting and I dont know what to do.

Don'tttttt drop. Just go through till bid day and if you don't like it you can quit before initiation and re-rush next year. You might find you love it come bid day. If you have Pi Phi left as an option, they are not bad at all. Same with Phi Sig. The only one I'd tell you not to go for is SDT because they are terrible to their pledges.

Ahh, Don't drop! Talk to your Recruitment counselor who will be much more help than this website. Stick through the process until bid day and then make your decision. Everything happens for a reason and the sororities know if you fit. The Sororities you have left took the time to invite YOU back because they see something in you. Every sorority at GW is amazing, give it a chance. Worst case scenario, you accept a bid, drop and re-rush next year. But you won't regret it, no matter which sorority.

DG worships their new members and mixes with only the best fraternities. Hard to go mess up that situation.
Don't worry about making friends, you'll have more than you know what to do with.

Uhh I know some horror stories from DG's PC 2012. The ones who they wound up with that they didn't want because they did so badly in recruitment that year... yeah those girls were treated horribly. DG is wonderful to the girls that they want, but if you slip in there and they didn't want you, woe betide you.

If you were expecting to be dropped, it sounds like they are pretty good chapters. You should stick it out. You can always drop out before you pay anything.

Go with the chapters that like you for who you are, and wanted you your first go around thru rush. You don't want to be in a chapter that didn't want you the first time.

Oh pleaseeeee. They don't haze (except aephi). And I wouldn't say drop SDT cause of hazing, I'd say drop sdt because they're awful.
