adpi worth joining?
by: legacyI'm an ADPi legacy but I'm reading some really mixed signals about them on here. It seems they are "middle tier" but they used to be top tier like 5 years ago, and they are getting worse? Or does this website really exaggerate? Are they worth considering if I want to be in a "good" sorority? I really like the idea of going with my legacy but if they are going to be bad by the time I'm a senior maybe it's not worth it...

Well if you want the honest truth, yes they do get progressively worse each year and the one hot pledge class they had left just graduated. There is a fair chance they will drop out of the middle tier at this rate. However, they are a good chapter in that they are likable (to most) have a great house and are very involved on campus. If this is your legacy and you have an attachment to it, you won't care if they become bottom tier. I know that sounds crazy to someone coming out of high school because you're used to social hierarchy mattering, but I promise you if you love it enough you won't care what rank it falls to. Imagine then someday passing your legacy on to your daughter!

As a legacy in another sorority, I agree so much! To be perfectly honest, ADPi has been losing steam over the years and could hit bottom tier but they will never be like phi sig or sdt. They'd be more comparable to pi phi at the worst.
It's so different when you have a connection to the national organization rather than just the GW chapter. If this is your legacy you should stick with it, regardless of rankings.

lollllllll nice try adpi. you have been telling girls in recruitment this for the past 3 years and yet for the past 3 years SK has had the highest GPA. ADPi was smart about 4 years ago, that's not how they are anymore.

ADPi had the highest GPA for both semesters this year, so yeah, they kinda are the smartest. I honestly see them as solid middle tier. They're cute for the most part with a few total hotties and a few not so hot girls. They have a great house, are crazy involved on campus and most other greek organizations like them.

Listen, adpi is ALRIGHT. They are mid tier, used to be upper mid now lower mid. You will enjoy it if you join, I promise. Those girls really love their chapter. That said, there are better options than adpi and I'm only recommending that you join them because you are a legacy and therefore will appreciate it more. DG/KKG/APhi are top, and SK/Chi O/KD are better if you're looking for something that is moving up in the ranks, but don't let anyone on here fool you into thinking ADPi is bad.

That's my advice too. Those are better choices than adpi but adpi is not a bad chapter. The only "bad" ones are sdt/pi phi/phi sig and pi phi isn't even that bad, they just don't have social lives.

you'd be surprised how many girls dropped adpi before pi phi in recruitment. not the majority, but enough of a hunk to make pi rho chis notice. but i agree, adpi is definitely better than pi phi.

This ranking is a bunch of girls in random sororities bashing ADPi because recruitment starts tomorrow. From a guy in the IFC - ADPi is a kickass chapter. Their girls are attractive (maybe not as much as DG), but they sure are a hell of a lot more fun. SO much better than KD. An ADPi girl is different than a KKG / SK / DG / Alpha Phi girl. Also you can't compare ADPi to AEPhi unless you're a compete and total idiot. I would compare ADPi to ChiO, and somewhat Pi Phi (but better).
Go ADPi - you won't regret it.

^^oh shut up ADPi. You gave yourself away when you said you are SO much better than KD. You've been living under a rock if you really think that. Those two chapters are basically the same thing, except KD is pulling ahead. ADPi is an ok chapter but you look pathetic when you try to say you're better than other mid tiers.

ADPi and KD definitely are not the same thing - the KD chapter at GW is trying to be a typical southern KD chapter and failing at it. ADPi knows who they are and they kickass at it, unlike KD

Yup, this. It's different when you're a legacy. You don't really care about it's rank. And ADPi's not so bad, I think you should stick with your legacy.
