ks v ka
by: Sophomore rusheeI'm going to be a sophomore next semester and am looking to try fall rush - I rushed a lot my freshman year but nowhere I went really suited me. Basically, I'm looking for a solid group to chill and party with - I'm not into reputations or trying too hard. Kappa sig looks like a good group but I'm not sure about their brotherhood, and I respect all the KAs I've met but am not sure if they're that fun (but I do dress a little preppy and am a bit conservative.) Thoughts?

KA is going to be a top fraternity on this campus in the next year or two and if you believe that will not happen then you are severally underestimating them considering they started out 3 years ago with 9 guys even when Kappa sig was still taking in 30-40 kids KA was taking quality one they could find, now thats starting to pay off. Im not saying that they will be number 1 (whatever that means to people) but they will be competitors.

Honestly Kappa Sig will be better than KA the next 3 years you will be here. KA are just that fraternity that is 1 step behind. Once all their seniors that own apartments in the avenue graduate they'll lose a lot of their partying appeal. Honestly you can't judge a fraternities brotherhood until you actually hang out with them regularly. Have over 110 guys is a lot harder than having 70.
Unless something major happens neither of us will be top tier fraternities in the next few years.
