advice for 2018
by: GWI know a lot of the incoming freshmen are going to check out this site to get an idea of the reputations of different frats/sororities, because I did the same thing. My advice is to take all of these ratings/discussions with a grain of salt. There's some truth behind what people say, but a lot of these ratings are beyond biased. The good ratings come from people in that house, and the bad ones come from their rivals/competitions. Just go into houses with an open mind, and see which one feels right for you. Don't base the next four years of your life off of what a an anonymous random on the internet said about a specific sorority or fraternity.

If anyone is extremely against a chapter, it's just a rival trying to bring them down. If anyone talks a chapter up way too much it could be genuine but is usually self rank. The real ranks are obvious when you go through rush but this site is entertainment in the meantime.

Don't go by this website. Any extreme reply is just someone from the competition trying to drag them down. And its pretty easy once you go to gw to tell which chapters hate on which on here. The rankings listed in the discussions are pretty accurate but what they don't tell you is how little upper vs mid tier matters. Bottom tier can be difficult but even those chapters have fun and do great things. You'll figure it out when rushing.
