why does everyone hate dg?

APhi and KKG are both hotter. People hate DG because people typically hate stuck up, snobby, rude women. They're a disgrace to GW and the reason we get a bad reputation.

It is true that DGs are the "stereotypical" GW girls in that they are the ones who make us look bad

DGs are incredibly mean and self-centered. About 5 years ago they were #1 on campus and everyone hated them because of how awful they were to other human beings. Then a few years back they really took a hit because their reputation had finally caught up with them. They were able to keep it together, but now there are quite a few other chapters that are competitive with them and arguably better. All around, DGs have NO other friends outside their chapter, they hate each other, they only hang out with 3 fraternities, and no one likes them at all besides the 3 frats they mix with. Avoid it like the plague.

That's my issue with them. They only hang out with each other whereas all other sororities are friends with all other sororities.

Pretty inaccurate. Their rep for being nasty is extremely exaggerated and they're not as bad as people think. I know many girls who have close friends in many other sororities. Guys who can't mix with them are the ones who dislike them

They are pretty girls, everyone knows that. But that is all they have going for them, they only have their looks. They're not smart, not nice and definitely not involved. They are superficial. Now if that's all you want from greek life, to be another pretty face then DG is right for you. Looking for anything more and you are looking in the wrong place.

Also, they only mix with Pike, Sig Ep, and Phi Psi and I know a lot of Pikes and Phi Psis that can't stand them. It's just a bad chapter to be in if you care about friendship and class.

They have the best sorority philanthropy which is unarguable. I had the chance to meet a bunch of these girls during Anchor Bowl as they were my captains and everyone in my frat loves them. They actually surprised us with how down to earth they are.

^ well duh, they wouldn't assign girls to your chapter if they thought those girls would be rude to you. They know exactly which girls to pair with which fraternity - as does every other sorority that know's what it's doing.

YES. If a girl goes into rush wanting DG she is bad news. The "good" DGs I know are the ones who were cut from Aphi, SK, and KKG and had no other option.

This is the single most accurate thing I've ever read on this site about DG. If a girl goes into recruitment wanting DG, she is typically bad news. All of my friends in DG are girls who were cut from either aphi, sk or kkg and chose DG because that was what was left of the top chapters for them. Not all DGs are bad - you can usually tell based on whether or not DG was their top choice.
