I'm a freshmen considering either SigEp or PiKapp. I know during rush it'll be hard to decide so what do the girls of GW think? I've been looking around on the discussion and see a lot of Pikes but please don't clutter the post with your Pikus stats. Thanks.

It depends on what sorority you're in. Each sorority has a general feeling when it comes to sigep and pikapp. SK's and Alpha Phi's aren't all about duechyness and a lot of them like pikapp more than sigep where as KKGs and DGs have longer histories with sigep (mostly because pikapp wasn't always a good frat) and will more likely be in sigeps side. If you're looking at pikapp and sigep you should check out phi psi too. In my opinion those are the top 3.

This isn't really true at all. Alpha Phi and SK both have great relations with both PiKapp and SigEp. Alpha Phi is probably closer to SigEp than PiKapp. SK is probably closer to PiKapp.

DG prefers SigEp and Pike.

KKG mostly hangs out with Phi Psi.

I wasn't too sure on what SigEp-KKG relations were. I agree though. SK and PiKapp have always been very close and APhi and SigEp the same. Both nice boys.

personally I really like the freshman and soph's and Pi Kapp compared to the ones in Sig Ep. Sig Ep has good classes in both grades but they are a little too douchey for me but they still are a good fraternity.

SigEp really only mixes with Alpha Phi and DG. Not Kappa - they don't get along.
Pi Kapp mixes with SK and Alpha Phi.

SigEp is more fun. Pi Kapp is kind of cheesy, but i guess people like that.

You do realize that SigEp and PiKapp are total opposites of each other, right? You should be able to tell for yourself after night 1 or 2 at the latest what you like better. They're both pretty popular with girls.

They're not really opposites. If you know Sigeps and you know Pikapps then you'd see similarities.

They're not really similar at all if you've ever rushed them both. You don't really see that part of the fraternity if you're a girl. Thats why you rarely see Pi Kapps and Sig Eps that are friends.

Sig Ep and PiKapp are both really good fraternities. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't rush both. PiKapp is close with SK and also mixes with Alpha Phi. Sig Ep is close with Alpha Phi and also mixes with SK, DG, and Kappa. Sig Ep is a little bit more athletic and Pi Kapp has a rep for being nice guys. RUSH BOTH, SEE WHO YOU LIKE.

I don't think its an actual freshman, more likely someone trolling. Most of these posts are saying the same thing and a few minutes apart from each other.

Obviously if you've already narrowed it down to two fraternities that are doing well you would just go ahead and rush both and then choose.

I think you get it. Top sororities like both fraternities but KKG and DG don't mix with PiKapp

I have been hearing that freshman Kappa's and Pi Kapps are friends so I think it is only a matter of time before they start mixing

KKG used to be one of the two top sororities and only mixed with who they viewed as the top two or three fraternities. DG, Pike and Sig Ep still all act this way.

Kappa has never really fully recovered from losing their house, they'll probably start to mix with the mid tier frats soon.

Both have some amazing guys. They're both very well organized too. I'd suggest rushing both and just see what happens.

SKs love PiKapp, also get along well with Sig Ep.
Alpha Phi is very close with both PiKapp/SigEp
DG is close with PIKE/Sig Ep and does not mix with Pi Kapp.
KKG loves Phi Psi

we mix/like with Phi Psi more than Sig Ep for the most part. There is a definite clique of DGs that love Sig Ep but most of us really prefer AEPi Phi Psi and PIKE

My friends and I prefer Sigep, absolutely love their younger guys! PiKapp is good too though.

Check out both, they're pretty different so you should have an idea what you like better!

Obviously biased towards Pikapp but they're both excellent fraternities. When all is said in done I like Pikapp and Sigep 10x more than Pike.
