Top tier does not mean you have the absolute strongest fraternity/sorority. It means you are the most dedicated to appearing as the best org. Remember stupid high school drama? It has evolved into this. Don't feel obligated to change the behavior, but realize that you're wasting your own time telling someone their frat sucks when in reality you aren't a part of their frat.

I am a freshman unaffiliated to a greek organization. I wanted to focus on my grades, but next year I am going to rush and I am going to put most of my effort into Pike. They are by and large, the best fraternity. Every fraternity here at GW has its pros and cons, but Pikes are generally the best looking and most normal guys here at GW. They have fun parties, girls seem to like them, though they do have a rep of being douche bags to girls. If you go to GW you quickly learn Pike is top.

Idk I mean KKG is top tier and they aren't dedicated AT ALL to trying to be the best. They regularly show up hung over to class in letters. And then some like ADPi take a lot of pride in their organization and are dedicated to appearing as the best, but they certainly are not top tier.

Kappa and Sigep are both #2 or #3's depending on who you ask. No worse than that though.
Average would be more like Chi-O on the sorority side or Pi Kapp on the frat side.

Fraternities- we have like 17. Top top 6 are (in RANDOM order) AEPi, Pi Kapp, Sigma Chi, Sig Ep, Pike, Phi Psi.
That is it. Anyone who denies that is kidding themselves. The exact order of the top 6 is debatable but those are them.
I would argue that while Kappa Sig is #7 is it stil farrrrrrr from the top 6. Top top 6 are basically untouchable by the other fraternities.

They draw a different kind of guy, but they are high quality guys in terms of popularity with women. I don't know a single girl on campus who wouldn't consider Pi Kapp and Sigma Chi to be good fraternities. And Phi Psi REALLY struggled this year. Their fall pc was like 16 guys, almost all of whom were Pike rejects.

Fact of the matter is, no one in the top four considers pi kapp or sigma chi to be a serious competitor in rush or in sports.
You can spin it whatever way you want but thats the truth.

To be fair, Pi Kapp beat Pike in my philanthropy event in the finals. All things considered they're definitely worth being considered as top tier

lol at any of the fraternities here thinking they are real fraternities. The best fraternity at gw would be considered the worst fraternity at a state school. You are all womanly. All of you. The only ones I've ever seen that this doesn't apply to are the athletes and the ones in Sig Ep who happily wear basketball shorts to class every day instead of "Nantucket Red."

SigEp has no credentials, and neither does any other Greek or club organization on campus. The athletic social circle is pretty much identical to any other club, as well as ROTC. The only difference is that they are doing what they are expected to do primarily, which is train. It's like giving any student props for getting good grades or pulling all nighters. Every organization on campus is pretty womanly.
