prepare for recruitment

by: GWU2018

So I am planning to do recruitment this fall and I was wondering if there are things I should do (or not do) to prepare for it. Like other than letters of recommendation

I was wondering that too. Do we have to have letters of recommendation? Thanks!

Don't worry about getting recommendations. Ultimately, its about both your appearance and personality. You will be judged and you'll be filtered through the rush and interview process. If you want to be somewhere where you're happy, go everywhere and just be yourself.

I don't know anyone who had a letter of rec. Don't worry about that. You get judged on appearance and personality. The thing to do to prepare yourself is to not allow yourself to have your heart set on a certain chapter before you rush. That's how girls wind up miserable.

If you are going to take away anything from this website, let it be this:
Of the 11 sororities you should be open minded about at least 7 of them.

"Of the 11 sororities you should be open minded about at least 7 of them."

Best advice you could get. Obviously there will be some you will hate so anyone who tells you "keep an open mind to all of them!" isn't being realistic. But you can definitely open your mind to at least 7.

Good advice. Try to be open to about 6 or 7 of them so you will have a really good chance at getting what you want and not being disappointed. Having only 1 in mind is never a great idea.
