messed up system!

The first day of recruitment had big cuts. Every round chapters have to release amazing PNMs who they loved because RFM gives them a set number they can invite back. They let you go because they felt you’d find a better fit in another chapter. You may not see that now, but if you accept your bid, you’ll realize it in time.

Notice that I said bid - singular. You only get one bid in the end. It may sting to be cut by many early on, but at pref there’s only a maximum of two you can visit and by having fewer to narrow it down now, the easier it will be later to focus on how you feel in each house. Think back to open house round, and how that was a whirlwind of cheering and Greek letters and you couldn’t tell your Alpha Delta Pis from your Alpha Epsilon Phis. Now you can walk into each chapter you have left and focus solely on that one and know your likelihood of joining. That’s a gift, trust me.

Just focus on what’s ahead, not what’s behind you.
