attempting to rank sororities

sororitys:

sk (were usually tied w aphi for top but aphi's declined this year & had a bad recruitment so sk's edged them out imo)

chi o/adpi: both were solidly middle tier chapters for years, but have slowly improved (though most of the upward momentum is from top houses like kappa & aphi declining over the years). 2 of the most well-rounded chapters, but lacking in areas that prevent them from being top. Chi o's sisterhood is kinda weak but they have arguably the best social/work balance. Both emphasize academics & are smart. Adpi has good sisterhood & get along really well but have always been bookwormish & don't party much, so that's kept them in the middle. Imo they're tied bc they're about even, but adpi's got 1 of the best sisterhoods & chi o's got one of the weakest, but adpi's got weak social life & chi o socializes a lot. adpi's tend to stick to themselves or are more interested in student org stuff or studying. Imo it comes down to how much you value good sisterhood vs how much you value social life

KD: well-rounded, went from being new a few years ago to middle tier. They don't seem to have any weak areas, they just don't seem to really excel in areas like other houses. Still respectably high in the rankings.

Pi phi: nice girls, do a lot of student org stuff. Kinda low key & could try interacting more with greek life but nice people. Ranking them here bc they seem to care more about being involved w the rest of campus than the others

SDT/phi sig: have improved a lot over the last couple years, both don't really seem to care about rank or greeklife which isn't bad, they just do their own thing. I don't know that many but I've liked the ones I've met. SDT esp has been improving a lot from where they were a few years ago but phi sig's doing better too imo so props to both for improving a lot

Theta: it takes a while for new chapters to climb their way up, so once they get more sisters it'll be easier for them. KD was new a while ago & it took a while for them to work their way up higher. I don't really have any problems with them, I've met some that were cool. Just keep working on being the best chapter you can be & you'll be fine. Every chapter was new at some point, we all start from somewhere

~Hard to rank/in their own category:~
-Aphi: tough to say where they're at rn. Def not irrelevant & do still have a presence, but they've declined this year from the snap thing & for having a bad recruitment. Still interact with frats & the rest of campus, but it's hard to say how much they've declined since they're not irrelevant & are otherwise decent in most areas besides sisterhood. Good social life, have some leadership stuff & do some philanthropies, but objectively they've declined this past year.

-AEPhi/Kappa: historically, both prioritize social life & parties & recruit girls who feel the same way. Kappa did have a surprisingly good recruitment, though they did seem to take their standard PC. Still, they seem happy with their PC so that's good to see. Both kappa & aephi are pretty different from the other houses bc they party a lot more. Imo it's more fair/accurate to compare them to each other than try ranking them with the other sororitys bc kappa & aephi are very different. Could be more well-rounded, imo that's what's keeping them from being ranked higher, but it's still hard to rank them. Both are different from the rest of greeklife but honestly they both seem to have good sisterhoods that get along so props to them
