People at this school are really dumb. Want something? Pass legislation and it might happen - except when it comes to Greek Life. The only office that has a say about GL on campus is the Greek Life Office. So these are just recommendations. I doubt they'll be followed and then there'll be uproar from people who don't understand how the process works

Actually, it’s not just true for Greek Life. It’s true for like 90% of things. The stuff the SA actually gets done is always in collaboration/negotiation with the University, not just them saying “this is what students want” and the University giving it to them. And the GLO isn’t the only GW office that can make decisions about Greek life - the university could decide to unilaterally ban greek life like many schools have.
I just hope that if the University doesn’t decide to listen to this resolution, the people who pushed so hard for it don’t get mad at the SA or other IFC/Panhel groups. Clearly their voices are being heard by other students and the efforts are being made by the student body. The ball is in the university’s court now; if they don’t pass it, they’re the ones to blame.
