Do letters of rec make a difference? Or do sororitys not care too much about them

They do help, because it gives an insight into who you are, and it says something to a chapter if an alum took time to write one. I know for my chapter specifically we are told during the lineup if a certain PNM we'll be talking to has a letter of rec, and it is cool IMO. However, it in no way guarantees you a bid to any chapter, just like being a legacy. It's far more important to be an actually good fit for a chapter than to have a legacy or a letter of rec.
