dirty rushing

by: Ada

Even if I don't get dirty rushed and know many upper class men do I still had a decent shot to get a good house in sorority rush

Most (if not all) sororities do their best to prevent dirty rushing as they can get in a lot of trouble from panhel and it's just not a good look. Knowing older members definitely can help, but even if you don't know anyone, if you are friendly and engaging during rush you shouldn't have a problem finding a house that fits you.

Dirty rushing is when a sorority tries to get you into their chapter, not just to go into recruitment open minded. It’s not allowed so people who do it get in a lot of trouble. It’s also low key rude for them to not let you make your own decisions

honestly, dirty rushing will likely hurt you more than help you. Do NOT get your hopes up for any chapter that dirty rushes you, because 9 times out of 10, you will end up disappointed. Just go into recruitment looking for a genuine connection, and have fun!

This 100%. If anything, dirty rushing is a bad sign not a good one. I know this from personal experience as I was dirty rushed to the point of meeting someones big and grandbig as their "future g-little" and then got dropped the first day. This was a top 2 house. So as a senior whose affiliated and with what I just said in mind, my advice to you is stay away from upperclassmen until rush and then keep and open mind and you will find your home. And don't pay attention or get bothered if you hear someone is being contacted by a sorority.
