rushing twice in same year

soooo if someone accepts a bid from a sorority, drops, and wants to rush in the spring, how would the other sororities know that she dropped out? I know its "illegal" to accept a bid and rush again in the same calendar year, but just wondering... ?

You have to wait till Fall recruitment . The sororities will know because they will have to submit your name to Panhellenic. There is also a chance that at least one girl in whichever sorority you decide you would most like to be in knows that you had accepted a bid before and dropped. Panhel keeps a list of everyone that has done that. If you do decide to go through Spring recruitment you will just be wasting your own time and theirs.
