transfer rush

How is it rushing as a sophomore transfer? I am very social and outgoing, and I really think a sorority is a good fit for me :) I am 100% open to every sorority, but could anyone tell me why some are not open to transfers? It seems like alpha phi doesn't take them and I am wondering if they have a strict policy against it or can they take you if they really like you? Thanks for any information about the whole process!

Sophomores have a perfectly fine time during recruitment! The requirements for some chapters are certainly a bit higher, but I know SK, Kappa, ADPi, and KD all took sophomores this year (that I know of - probably Pi Phi and SDT and AEPhi and Phi Sig too!) which means you have so many options! On top of that, Theta will be colonizing next semester, so definitely give that a shot, since they'll totally look for sophomores.
Alpha Phi does take sophomores (it's not against any national policy or whatever) but that's more rare. I think they took two last year! Just don't rule any chapter out, including Theta, and embrace it!
