spring rush at gw?
by: whoknowsHi! I'm a freshman who chose not to Rush this year but I'm already regretting it. I read on GW's site that some sororities have spring recruitment events and was wondering which ones those were and when and where I'd find out about those. I'm also wondering if it'd just be better to wait and then Rush fall of sophomore year?

there's no way to know for sure which sororities will host a spring recruitment, since it varies year to year based on total. Usually the number of members they will take will be rather small too, so your best best would be to try as a sophomore. Many girls do go through recruitment as a sophomore, so your chances aren't particularly diminished. I would just try to get really great grades, get involved, and meet girls in a ton of different chapters to see where you might fit in.

No chapter is allowed to do spring rush this year because of the panhel decision to move formal rush to the spring in 2018.
The plan is:
All upperclassmen (sophs and up) will be allowed to rush in Fall 2017
All GW women (incl freshmen) will be allowed to rush in Spring 2018
