Im curious about sororities. How do you rush? Does it make any difference if your mom was part of a sorority? (my mom was in kappa) Anything to know about rushing and sorority life?

You can sign up online on their website. Yeah, that would make you a legacy, but go through recruitment with an open mind and you'll have a ton of fun :)
