How bad is thetas hazing

I accepted my bid for theta because the girls were so welcoming at recruitment but my friend in another sorority told me some weird stories and kind of scared me. I don’t want to drop because I want to be in greek in general but is there any advice? Is it too late to join another one after I already accepted my bid?

Heard theta used to put the big girls on washing machines and circle every spot that jiggled. They also put frozen bananas up their butts. If I we're you I'd rush a sorority that actually cares about their new members well being, maybe something like Aphi.
