i see potential for a change
by: LoveNo hateful or negative comments have been posted on any of the five sororities pages in two weeks. Is this due to recent events? Are we actually starting to act like 20 year olds and not bully each other anonymously online? I hope the reason for this is because people are starting to realize that words can actually hurt someone and you don’t know what someone may be going through. It is important that we stick together rather than tear each other down especially during difficult times like these. It is amazing how much our community has supported each other and has come together in the past two weeks but why can’t we continue to keep it going like this for good? Why can’t we grow up and keep this no hate trend going? It’s pretty sad that it had to come to a tragic situation like this for people to realize how damaging something like this could potentially be. Next time you think about writing a hurtful or negative comment on this website take a second and just think to yourself. What am I getting out of hurting someone else or putting someone else down? Think about how you would feel if you were on the opposite end and reading something like that about yourself or an organization that you are proud and happy to be apart of. And I really hope you will rethink your actions. And remember, what goes around comes around. We all Have to take a stand and put an end to the Greek rank hate, this cant just be done by a few people. And I think nowis the time.

We have all worked together and supported each other during the past few weeks but why should it stop now? We should work together to make this a permanent thing and not just for a couple of weeks in spite of a tragedy, but for life. Who knows, maybe putting an end to this could even prevent another similar situation like this from maybe happening in the future

If we don’t put a stop and take action to ending these hateful comments about each other on a website it is pretty hypocritical that we as a community can raise over 30k in 2 days for mental health but we can’t even stop bullying each other online within our own community.... think before you post....
