Its very hard to start a greek org. Getting enough people on board for something with nothing in return for a few years is a tough sell. Once they have enough guys and participate enough to be ifc recognized. Once youre recognized then you have to face the fact that you took anyone and everyone that was willing to join, so your qaulity of brothers and brotherhood is going to be low in the eyes of the rest of the greek scene and no one will want to waste mixers on you.

as someone who is friends with boys from KSig I can tell you that they were voted into as newly recognized by the IFC and just recently allowed to have normal mixers like everyone else this past semester when every frat already had already locked down their socials
it's honestly a matter of time before everyone starts going over to their house

From a sorority perspective:
We have a limited amount of budget to spend on social events like mixers. We typically have good turnout when we mix with the more established frats (Sigs, LXA, Pike, FIJI, etc) like it's nothing personal it's just facts. So we'd rather spend money on a mixer where everyone wants to go rather than with Ksigs, Phi Delt or AEPi because if we mixed with the less established frats were taking away from a mixer that people would prefer. I'm sure girls in other sororities agree w me. So for now Ksigs is only getting bar nights if anything lol
